Port Moody

Port Moody, also known as “City of the arts”, is the smallest of the Tri-cities, bordered by Coquitlam on the east and south and Burnaby on the west. It offers the communities of Suter Brook Village and New Port Village which both have shopping and dining.

North are the villages of Belcarra and Anmore which have camping and kayak rentals right next to Buntzen lake a beach with hiking trails, swimming and an off leash dog area making it a hot spot for summer activities. Belcarra which has hiking trails fit for family or fur babies, a park for the kids and an amazing view of the ocean where you’re able to go crab fishing.

Sasamat beach also known as White Pine is a great place to bring the kids as they have two sides of the beach which offers an area for the “older” crowd to hang as well as a concession (because who doesn’t like ice cream?).

In central Port Moody you can find a great selection of shops as well as Rocky point which offers the ocean, a swimming pool, water park, off leash dog area, skate park, fish and chips as well as another ice cream spot and trails surrounding the area. Port moody has the new and up coming Evergreen line which will connect to downtown Vancouver as well as a bus that will get you there in 30 minutes. Convenience, swimming and ice cream, what’s not to like?
